I liked the Ridgway Roundhouse so much I had to do the brick office building that stood around back behind it. It's a really cool building. I thought there would be extra interest in it as it would make a great free-lance structure for your railroad so I doubled the quanity to 250. For whatever reason (like maybe I haven't advertised it too hard) there are still some available. We're using it as an alpine depot and storehouse on our club layout.

This really is a great kit. Not only does it feature my finely rendered scale brick but the cedar shake roofs are cast in white Hydrocal too. No fooling around with rolls of shingles, aligning, or trying to align those darn peal and stick things, and wondering why they are curling up on you three years from now. Nope, these are problem free castings. They are not and will not warp on you. I spent countless hours hand-laying the originals, yes, shingle-by-shingle (I know, the guys in the little white coats are looking for me). I did it so you don't have to. A little magic with a rubber mold and we have perfect roof panels. Add a little color and we are ready to go. They are cast to size and shape and fit wonderfully. I know, it's too good to be true.

Of course the kit includes complete coloring and assembly instructions. Oh yes, and my first complete set of white metal door and window castings. They are great too. Don't take my word for it, buy one of these kits and you'll be amazed too.

HOW TO CLINICS
Here are a bunch of my on-line how to work with Hydrocal mini-clinics. Each kit includes specific instructions of course- and there are lots of ways to do things, but here are my thoughts, tips and techniques.

Coloring BRICK
My traditional techniques for coloring and mortaring brick.

Coloring STONE
With a little practice you can color realistic stone walls. Here's how I do it.
What are we going to do now that Testors/Floquil has dropped their Flo-Stains?

Coloring CONCRETE
A little gray ink wash and some colorants. It's not that difficult.

If you like to scratch-build or just want to practice before you do, check out my stock castings. These are the same building blocks I use to create my kits.
