THE MINDEN FLOUR MILLING COMPANY

The Minden Flour Milling Company is a beautiful brick structure with four tall boiler-plated silos and its corrugated additions. It was at the southern terminus of the Virginia and Truckee Railroad. This historic structure still stands proudly today in Minden, Nevada. In fact, you pass right by it on US 395, you can practically stick your hand out your car window and touch it. The highway goes right down the old right of way.

The HO scale model will be a prominent feature on your layout. The exceptional fine detail of the 42 Hydrocal castings will withstand the closest scrutiny. Included are 28 Grandt Line doors and windows, plenty of Northeastern scale lumber as the interior floors are constructed board-by-board, complete instructions with full-sized templates, drawings and step-by-step text to insure you'll capture this masterpiece in full.

The pilot model was subject of a four part modeling article starting in the October 1988 issue of Mainline Modeler.

Unfortunately, it's past time to retire the molds on the Minden Flour Mill. It's been a great run. Years ago I went to replace the molds and found some key patterns were missing. I always hoped to find them and with my move, every cubic inch was searched. Alas not there. I'm moer bummed than you are. Sorry.
